Our delivery partner Burd Delivery delivers all our Eat Grim boxes and to ensure the best possible delivery experience we recommend you to read the following guidelines for a smooth delivery.
1. If you live in an apartment building with a locked street door / hallway you need to be home to let in the driver or offer the driver to place box in an alternative spot outside the building
Burd Delivery delivers your Eat Grim box on Tuesday/Wednesday between 18:00 - 22:00 to your house or apartment front door. You will receive a SMS around 18.00 with an estimated delivery time (1,5 hour) along with a trackinglink, so you're able to follow your box on the route.
If you can't be home for the delivery, you can add a delivery note through your customer account, which will give the driver the option to place the box elsewhere eg. in front of the main entrance door or a bike shed.
2. Add a permanent delivery note
You can add a permanent delivery note in the shipping address in the customer account. You can also write email@example.com and we will add it for you. Please be aware that the deadline for changes for the following week is Friday 23:59.
If you live in a building with a locked front door and you can't be home to let in the delivery agents, you can give permission to have your box placed in front of the main entrance door by the street.
You can also add a note with the doorcode or give the name of one/two of your neighbors, who's doorbell the driver can ring to be let into the building.
Burd doesn't ring the bell of all the neighbors in your building, but only if you have an agreement with a specific neighbor listed in your delivery note.
3. Pick up the phone
If Burd can't find your address or has problems getting into your building, the driver will call you on the phone number, which you have on your customer account. Be always available on the phone within the timeframe of your delivery if you want to make sure to receive your Eat Grim box.
4. We don't deliver the day after
In the rare occassion that it is not possible to deliver your box, you will receive a text message from Burd that states that your box will be delivered the next day.
This is a standard message and does not apply to our Grimlings as we can't make sure your box containing fresh, organic produce are in good condition the day after. Your box will therefore not be delivered the day after and the produce will instead be donated.
We want to stress the importance of being available on the phone during the hours of delivery as this allows you to find a solution together with Burds talented drivers.
