Short answer is no, but we're not more expensive either.
The vegetables that we buy might be going to waste if we don't, but there is absolutely no reason for them to be thrown out, other than unfair beauty standards and inefficiency in our food system. We're trying to change the way we look at quality of fruits and vegetables, and disrupt the current standards, because they're creating massive amounts of waste that is hurting our climate.
We also know that the exact same amount of work and love, goes into growing these vegetables that are not pretty enough for the supermarkets. Therefore we believe in paying the organic farmers what they deserve. Because of our size, we cannot take as big quantities as the supermarkets, and so the produce is more expensive - it's not cheap being small - quite the opposite. So the more who join the EAT GRIM family, the cheaper it can get. At the same time, we're not interested in pushing the price down, because this is the exact exploitation that we're also fighting against.
